USDC POS Sound Not Working? Check These Five Things

· PayIn

If your PayIn POS makes no sound, first distinguish an audio problem from a payment problem. Check payment history before asking the customer to pay again. A quiet, muted or disconnected display does not prove that the payment failed.

These checks apply to the current browser-based POS display. Audio is local to each device; a successful test on your laptop does not enable a tablet at the counter.

1. Enable sound on the actual display

Open the current POS display link from management, then tap its sound control. Browser audio usually requires a user interaction. In Display settings, use the sound test and check whether you actually hear it.

The test uses a sample amount and creates no payment. It should not show a real payment success. A successful test is a device readiness check, not evidence that an earlier customer paid.

If the sound control is unavailable, check POS access and connection first. Opening the public Payment link does not provide the staff display's live event access.

2. Check the device output and speech settings

Raise the device's media volume and check whether audio is going to headphones, Bluetooth speakers or another output. Silent-mode and browser sound settings vary by device. If the browser has muted the site, allow playback and test again.

Chime and spoken amount are separate settings. If the chime works but speech does not, check that amount announcements are enabled and choose an available system voice. Try the default voice if the selected one is unavailable.

Display language and announcement language are independent. Changing the text language does not select a new speech voice. Available voices and pronunciation depend on the operating system.

3. Keep the display visible and awake

Keep the POS tab in the foreground and the device powered. Background tabs, screen locks, app switching and power-saving modes can suspend audio or speech. A browser stay-awake request is not a guarantee that the operating system will keep the display running.

After returning to the page, confirm the connection and repeat the sound test. Fullscreen can make a customer display cleaner, but it does not override background or audio restrictions.

This product should not be treated as a guaranteed background notification service for a locked phone.

The connection icon is visible on the main display. Open settings for more detail and resynchronize when offered. If the POS link has been reset, retrieve the new one from the management page's Links section; the old credential no longer grants access.

Keep the management URL private. Copy the staff POS link to the counter device, while customers scan the public payment link QR. No separate device-pairing process is required.

If several devices use the same valid POS link, more than one can announce a payment. Check each device's local sound setting if you hear duplicate announcements.

5. Check whether a new confirmed payment occurred

The display announces newly verified live receipts. It does not replay every earlier receipt each time you open or reconnect the page. A recovered history record can therefore be present in management without making a new sound.

An Awaiting payment record is an attempt. A Confirming record is unresolved. Neither should be treated as a completed receipt simply because the customer approved a wallet prompt. Read how to verify a USDC payment when the state is unclear.

A customer who sent funds manually to your address outside checkout may also not trigger the display. Inspect the receiving wallet and transaction separately instead of assuming all address transfers will create a PayIn event.

A quick counter checklist

What you observe First check
No sound even during the test Media volume, output device, browser playback permission
Chime works, spoken amount does not Announcement switch and available system voice
Works until the device is locked Foreground visibility, power and screen settings
Sound works, connection is interrupted Network and current POS access link
Record exists, no new announcement Whether it was newly confirmed live or recovered history

Before opening for business, check title, amount mode, QR, connection and audible test on the device staff will actually use. Establish who checks uncertain receipts and avoid duplicate collection while a submitted transaction remains unresolved.
